Prior to the beginning of the eighth round of talks in Brussels, Stefanovic said that the two sides are somewhat closer in terms of Pristina’s regional representation, voicing his optimism that agreement could be reached respectful of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Every solution must be in line with the Serbian Constitution and UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Stefanovic underlined.
As for the recent development in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, Stefanovic noted that citizens must remain united and KFOR must not attempt to remove the road blocks by force, but let the citizens do that.
The presence of the international community is necessary because it is in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the six-item plan of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, he observed.
