Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic warned today that the attempt of KFOR to remove the barricade in Jagnjenica by force is a move that does not solve the problem in the north of the province, but only increases tensions and undermines the trust of the Serbs in KFOR and other international organisations.

Bogdanovic said in a statement to Tanjug news agency that it is obvious that this time KFOR exeeded its mandate and stressed that the use of flash bombs and rubber bullets is no excuse.
It is very dangerous to remove barricades by force while dialogue is still under way and when the next round is scheduled for 30 November, Bogdanovic said.
I believe that today’s action, which unfortunately left several people injured, leads to the deepening of the gap between KFOR and Kosovo Serbs, he said noting that we should give a chance to dialogue as it has no alternative.
Dialogue could produce a sustainable solution which would yield results in the long run, Bogdanovic highlighted.
Bogdanovic said that KFOR is the one that has to guarantee the safety of all citizens and added that violence must cease giving a chance to conversation in order to reach a solution acceptable to all.
