The statement reads that in line with transaction terms, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the relevant working group will continue with the activities to select a strategic partner by submitting transaction documents to the company in question, after which the company is to make its bid.
The Ministry recalls that the application deadline for an investor for a joint investment in a new company, dealing with public transport in air traffic, expired today.
The application deadline lasted from 1 August until today and a number of airliners and companies cooperating with them voiced their interest in a strategic partnership with Serbia and JAT Airways.
Applications were submitted within the deadline by two companies, but bearing in mind that around the end of the deadline there was interest on behalf of other companies, the Ministry extended it for another month.
At the end of this period, one company – Baltic Aviation Systems – purchased the transaction documentation, the statement adds.
