Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic talked today with UNMIK Chief Farid Zarif about the latest developments and UNMIK’s ability to influence, within its mandate, the reduction of tensions in northern Kosovo-Metohija.
Bogdanovic underlined that the current crisis in the north of Kosovo can be resolved only through dialogue, with peaceful means, without the use of force and unilateral moves, with full respect for the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Bogdanovic and Zarif agreed that international forces in the province - UNMIK, KFOR and EULEX in their commitment to normalise the situation in northern Kosovo-Metohija must act within their status-neutral mandates, reads a statement by the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija.
