Force must not be used in north of Kosovo

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic invited today KFOR and EULEX not to use force in the north of Kosovo, and the Serbs to act responsibly and protect their interests in peaceful manner.

In a statement to Beta news agency Bogdanovic underlined that Belgrade is trying to get the KFOR and Serbian representatives in the north of Kosovo to negotiate in order to solve the problem of supply without mutual conditioning.
Belgrade is giving its best to set the meeting because only through dialogue and compromise this crisis can be resolved, he said.
Use of force in this tension filled situation can lead to unwanted and immeasurable consequences, the Minister underlined.
He invited KFOR and EULEX not to use force in the north of Kosovo because sustainable and lasting solutions cannot be achieved in that way.
At the same time the Minister invited Serbs in the north of Kosovo to act responsibly, not to react to provocations and protect their interests in peaceful manner.
