2.4% GDP growth in Q2

The Statistics Office announced today that the real growth of GDP in the second quarter of 2011, compared to the same period last year, was 2.4%.
The highest growth in GDP was recorded in mining (17.5%), electricity, gas and steam supply (13%) and information and communication sector (9.9%).
The construction sector recorded a growth of 7%, while the transport sector and manufacturing industry saw a 2.4% growth.
The largest decline was recorded in the trading sector – 4.6%.
