Jeremic said in a statement to Radio Television Serbia that no incident or violation of peace and stability should remain unpunished by the Security Council.
Serbia had been warning previously, the Security Council among others, that this could happen, the Minister recalled, and added that those who ignored all these warnings, the NATO in the first place, are fully responsible for what is happening today in Kosovo-Metohija.
Nowhere in Europe are civilians shot at except in Serbia, and precisely on the part of the territory that is not under the administration of the Serbian government, as stipulated by the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Jeremic said.
He added that Serbia will continue to prevent, through policy and active diplomacy, the attempts at accusing her for what obviously has nothing to do with the Serbian government.
The UN Security Council held closed consultations late yesterday about the situation in northern Kosovo-Metohija after the clashes in which seven Serbs were injured and four soldiers of KFOR.
The consultations were scheduled at the request of Russia, which strongly protested over the actions of KFOR and EULEX in northern Kosovo-Metohija and asked these missions to respect the principle of status neutrality.
