Head of the Serbian government’s team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said today that it is necessary that KFOR returns within framework of its mandate as soon as possible and stop removing the barricades, as this could have negative consequences for the fragile peace and stability in the north Kosovo.
Stefanovic told the Tanjug news agency that with its latest action of removing barricades, Kfor is trying to undermine Serbia's position right before today’s negotiating process with Pristina.
He pointed out that it is totally unnecessary and absolutely unacceptable to apply force on people who protest peacefully, and to arrest and detain people.
The head of the Serbian government’s team for dialogue with Pristina added that by doing this Kfor breaches its mandate since its obligation is to provide security.
