The Serbian government condemns most harshly the statements by representatives of interim authorities in Pristina with which they announce the use of force in northern Kosovo-Metohija on 16 September, in the way it was done on 25 July this year.
The announcement of unilateral and violent acts is a threat to security of the entire region and harms the continuation of dialogue and implementation of the status-neutral agreements reached.
The Serbian government points out that the responsibility for consequences of the possible use of violence by Pristina is also born by the international institutions which have the mandate to provide peace and safety in Kosovo-Metohija.
The Serbian government calls on the UN, EU and NATO to take proper measures in line with their jurisdiction to avert threat of violence and provide conditions for the continuation of dialogue.
