Ciric told the press during the NAM ministerial conference in Belgrade that with the help of the state, the Serbian economy should use the friendly relations with NAM countries and appear on their markets, especially bearing in mind all the positive past experiences.
As an example, the Minister recalled the engagement of Energoprojekt in Peru, which constructed large dams there and is remembered in a positive light.
He stated that he talked with Indian representatives about expanding their business cooperation with Serbia, adding that India’s EMbassy Group will most likely invest in the technological IT park.
Cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector was another issue discussed with India’s representatives, he added.
Companies that presented themselves at today’s exposition as part of NAM’s 50th anniversary included the Corn Institute Zemun Polje, the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops Novi Sad, PKB Corporation, IMT, IMR, Jugoimport SDPR, the Institute for Manufacturing Banknotes and Coins, Energoprojekt, road company Putevi Uzice, Amiga, railway carriage factory Fabrika Vagona Kraljevo and furniture producer Ktitor.
The exposition was jointly organised by the Serbian and Belgrade Chambers of commerce and the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
The Torlak Institute, Beohemija, Galenika and Mihajlo Pupin Institute also presented their potential.
