Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic and Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic today attended the enthronement of Archimandrite Jovan as the new Bishop of Lipljan at the Pec Patriarchate.
The holy liturgy was served by Serbian Patriarch Irinej in the presence of the Serbian President’s envoy Mladjan Djordjevic and KFOR commander General Erhard Buehler.
Following the service, Bogdanovic and Buehler talked about alternative crossings in the north of Kosovo and road blocks on the territory of the municipality of Zvecan.
The Minister said that more efforts must be invested to prevent smuggling and organised crime, adding that the KFOR commander assured him that KFOR will remain status neutral and do its best to calm down the tension in the north of the province.
Bogdanovic voiced his belief that KFOR will act within UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and will not implement the decisions of the provisional authorities in Pristina.
