Topics for upcoming round of negotiations between Belgrade, Pristina agreed on

Head of the Serbian negotiating team in dialogue with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina Borislav Stefanovic and EU mediator in talks between Belgrade and Pristina Robert Cooper have agreed on the topics for the upcoming round of negotiations on 2 September in Brussels.

Stefanovic announced that the next meeting will discuss cadastre, Telecom and customs seals, while electricity and university diplomas might also be on the agenda.
He pointed out that he and Cooper had a constructive and good conversation in which Belgrade once again confirmed to be a credible and predictable partner of the EU willing to solve the problems in Kosovo-Metohija, regardless of Pristina's unilateral actions.
He added that the functioning of the Serbian institutions in northern Kosovo and regulation of traffic at crossings Jarinje and Brnjak will not be the topics of the upcoming talks on 2 September.
The functioning of our institutions in northern Kosovo cannot be the topic, because we cannot negotiate something that is constitutional, legal, political and moral obligation towards the citizens of Serbia, said Stefanovic noting that such position was received with understanding by the EU.
Stefanovic expressed the hope that the issue of customs seals will be resolved in accordance with the position of UNMIK and the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
He also welcomed the appointment of Chief Prosecutor of EULEX John Clint Williamson to head the team for investigation into organ trafficking in Kosovo, but added that the team does not fully comply with the request of Serbia, especially in terms of who the report is submitted to and in what context.
Any activity regarding Dick Marty’s report deserves to be welcomed, Stefanovic concluded.
