In a statement with the Tanjug news agency Bogdanovic expressed confidence that, especially after
talks between representatives of Serbs in northern Kosovo with Serbian President Boris Tadic, the situation in northern Kosovo will be resolved, adding that KFOR has had a very constructive role in this process.
The situation will be resolved keeping in mind that the representatives of the Serbs from northern Kosovo told the president that they support their state of Serbia, he said.
The Minister reiterated that he believes in our people and the representatives of Serbs in northern Kosovo-Metohija.
He expressed assurance that they will make a reasonable decision allowing for free movement in the northern province as of tomorrow.
Dialogue is the only way to solve all problems that exist in this region, said the Minister also praised KFOR Commander Biler Erhard, who significantly helped in resolving the situation.
His constructive approach and willingness to resolve the crisis as soon as possible and in a peaceful manner have led to an interim agreement, Bogdanovic said, expressing the hope that the agreement will bring peace, stability and give dialogue a chance in Brussels.
Citizens in northern Kosovo-Metohija know what they want, they are legitimately fighting for their interests, they want to solve the crisis peacefully and no one in that part of the southern province wants a conflict, he said.
