Jeremic said in a statement to the Radio Television Serbia that he met with full understanding of the UN Secretary-General for Serbia's positions and that he informed Ban Ki-moon of the readiness of Belgrade to continue with the behaviour that will ensure peace and stability in the province.
The Minister said that consultations in the Security Council on the latest developments in the north of Kosovo were closed to the public and that three permanent members of the Security Council used the veto to prevent the address of Serbia.
Most members of the Security Council wanted the opposite, but the power of veto was stronger, the Minister said, adding that the Serbian delegation however distributed its address in the form of a public document to all UN members.
He noted that it was obvious that it was necessary to hide the truth about the events in Kosovo-Metohija from the international public.
The issues that could not be raised last night such as - who ordered the sending of Albanian paramilitaries, who encouraged such behaviour, whether unilateral actions are allowed and other, will inevitably be on the agenda of the regular session of the UN Security Council on Kosovo-Metohija at the end August, Jeremic explained.
He stated that Serbia will continue with intensive diplomatic activities regardless of the fact that the presence of our representative at the consultations in the UN was prevented.
