Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic stated prior to consultations at the UN Security Council about Kosovo, that it is essential that the attempt to change the situation in the field by violence should be publicly condemned.
In a statement to Radio Television Serbia last night Jeremic said that two permanent Security Council members decisively stood up to Serbia’s proposal to summon an emergency session and discuss the situation in Kosovo that arose after Kosovo Police Service tried to take control of Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings.
However, their resistance was suppressed and the session will be held tomorrow afternoon, according to US time, but it will be in the form of consultations behind closed doors, the Minister observed.
