Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic condemned late today the burning of Jarinje administrative crossing and urged the Serbs in the north of Kosovo not to let extremist groups to cause clashes.
Bogdanovic said in a statement to Television Pink that he was not at Jarinje crossing at the moment when a group of young men set it on fire, but that according to the information he received, there are no casualties.
What happened here deserves the harshest condemnation. We cannot solve problems like this, Bogdanovic stated and called on Serbs in the north of Kosovo to stay calm.
The Minister for Kosovo-Metohija underlined that the Serbian government is doing everything to prevent the conflict from escalating.
He also urged the international community to find solutions to problems in northern Kosovo through dialogue.
