During a break in a meeting with KFOR commander Erhard Biler, Stefanovic noted that despite the agreement that was peacefully achieved, police and customs officers from Pristina were again brought to administrative crossings in northern Kosovo today, which is utterly unacceptable.
He reiterated that Belgrade and Serbs in Kosovo demand the return of EULEX customs officers and members of the Kosovo Police Service who are of Serbian nationality, and who were deployed at these crossings before the attempt by a Kosovo special unit to take over control of border crossings towards Serbia.
The special unit’s aim were crossings where Pristina’s decision to ban import of Serbian goods was not implemented, he specified.
Stefanovic also warned that KFOR must not be an instrument in the hands of the interim self-government institutions in Pristina.
