Memorial service held for murdered Serbian harvesters in Staro Gracko

Twelve years since the murder of 14 Serbian harvesters in Staro Gracko near Lipljan was marked today by lighting candles and holding a memorial service.

Bishop of Raska and Prizren Teodosije held the memorial service in front of a memorial plaque placed on the village school.
The memorial service was attended by Assistant Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Dragan Petkovic, President of the Serbian government’s Commission for Missing Persons Veljko Odalovic and KFOR Commander Erhard Buhler.
Twelve years ago Andrija Odalovic, Jovica and Rade Zivic, Slobodan, Mile, Novica and Momir Janicijevic, Stanimir and Bosko Djekic, Sasa and Ljubisa Cvejic, Nikola Stojanovic, Miodrag Tepsic and Milovan Jovanovic were ambushed and killed on their land while harvesting.
Although the murder of harvesters is one of the most serious crimes against Serbs since the arrival of the international mission to Kosovo-Metohija in June 1999, no one has answered for this crime so far.
