Bogdanovic said that this move by the provisional institutions in Pristina makes dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina senseless, and warned that the consequences will be felt by all citizens of Kosovo-Metohija.
The Minister said that the decision will further worsen the already catastrophic economic situation in the province.
Head of the Serbian negotiating team in the dialogue with the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said that the embargo on imports from Serbia is actually a self-imposed embargo, to the detriment of Kosovo citizens.
Stefanovic explained that this happened because customs seals have not been resolved even though there is full commitment of our side as well as of the EU to resolve them.
He said that today's decision is very harmful – for trade, free movement of persons, goods and capital and added that it casts a shadow over the negotiating process.
It is an unilateral attempt to prejudge the solution of Pristina in our dialogue, Stefanovic said.
He said that this move also violates the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA).
