Head of the Serbian government’s team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said today that the talks between Belgrade and Pristina, whose continuation was scheduled for tomorrow and the day after tomorrow in Brussels, have been postponed until September at the request of EU chief mediator in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Robert Cooper.

Stefanovic told Tanjug news agency that the talks have been postponed because the Pristina team demanded that insignia of the Kosovo state be displayed during the negotiations, which Belgrade could not accept.
He noted that the EU assessed that the two sides cannot reach an agreement at the moment, or agree on a compromise over issues that are being discussed, and that it is therefore better to wait until September and try and reach a compromise then.
