Government to participate actively in resolution of problems of Serbs in Kosovo

Director of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Milivoje Mihajlovic said that the Serbian government does not want to turn a blind eye to problems of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, but wants to participate actively in their quick and efficient resolution.

In his appearance on Most television in Zvecan, Mihajlovic said that Serbia will not recognise an independent Kosovo, either implicitly or explicitly.
Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will be neither short nor easy, he said, but expressed his conviction that it will bare fruit.
The first results, achieved in previous rounds, represent serious progress in the free movement of people in Kosovo-Metohija, Mihajlovic noted.
The Director of the Office of Media Relations voiced hope that more and more citizens will have KS licence plates issued by the UNMIK, because they will give them better communication and freedom of movement.
We expect that the topics that will enable a better life for the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, both south and north of the River Ibar, will be discussed in the sixth round of talks, Mihajlovic stated.
