Vojislav Kostunica
On behalf of the Serbian government, Serbian citizens and in his own name, Kostunica offered condolences to the friendly people of Indonesia for the catastrophe which has left around 100,000 people dead.
"It is difficult to find a word that could convey the true feeling of pain and sorrow for lives of so many people that were lost in a tragedy caused by the tsunami," the Serbian Prime Minister wrote in the book of condolences.
After the signing, Kostunica told the press that the Serbian government made its first step towards helping through its decision to send 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the countries hit by the tsunami, and that it will do everything to continue offering assistance.
