During the meeting with Azubalis, the Minister warned that such moves and other methods of Pristina aimed at assimilating Kosovo Serbs damage dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as agreements made so far, and they do not contribute to establishment of trust.
Bogdanovic applauded OSCE’s efforts aimed at building inter-ethnic trust in the province and urged for its more active involvement in the process of reconciliation in Kosovo-Metohija.
Azubalis evaluated as good the approach used by Serbia and Pristina representatives in building mutual trust, and that is to gradually move from resolution of technical problems to general issues.
He agreed with Bogdanovic that the return of IDPs and of their usurped property is of crucial importance for building trust between Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija.
The OSCE Chairman expressed his concern for the difficulties in collecting documents of the IDPs residing in the territory of Montenegro, and Bogdanovic informed him about the measures taken to resolve the issue.
The Minister for Kosovo-Metohija and OSCE Chairman agreed that good cooperation and communication between the OSCE mission in Belgrade and Pristina is very important for addressing the issue of return of IDPs and of their usurped property.
