Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic welcomed today’s appointment of Robert Sorenson as new officer-in-charge of the UNMIK mission, voicing his hope that under his guidance the mission will adhere to the status-neutral mandate.
Bogdanovic said he hopes that Lamberto Zannier’s heir will be principled and that he will maintain the status neutral mandate of the UN mission in the southern Serbian province.
The Minister underlined that conducting the UN policy within the framework of the Security Council’s Resolution 1244 is of crucial importance for the work on UNMIK in the coming period.
As long as this cooperation is grounded on the above-mentioned principles, UNMIK will have a truly constructive and sincere partner in Belgrade and Kosovo Serbs, he stated.
