Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica had a telephone conversation today with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana about the holding of direct elections for the parliament of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro.

Kostunica pointed out that it is necessary to hold direct parliamentary elections, since they are mandated by the Constitutional Charter.
