Cadastre issue in Kosovo-Metohija to be resolved soon

Head of the Serbian negotiating team in the dialogue with provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said today that the issue of the cadastre in Kosovo-Metohija might be resolved soon.

Stefanovic said at the conference "Challenges of forced migrations in Serbia" held in the Sava Centre that the two teams stand good chances of concluding this issue.
That is a precondition that people with legal certainty determine what their property is, and today the Kosovo cadastre is full of very problematic data, the head of the Serbian negotiating team pointed out.
He explained that this, together with the freedom of movement, is a precondition for Serbs to return to Kosovo-Metohija and recalled that in last 12 years, only 7.7% of property disputes in Kosovo were resolved and 72 evictions carried out.
If continued with this pace, it would take 500 years to give back to Serbs all the property that has been usurped from them, he noted.
