Dialogue and agreement can help to resolve issues in Kosovo-Metohija

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic and Head of the EULEX mission Xavier Bout de Marnhac today agreed that only through dialogue and agreements can problems in Kosovo-Metohija be solved.

Following a meeting with the EULEX Head, Bogdanovic told the press that they looked at all topics and problems with which citizens in the province are faced.
He noted that they agreed that the EULEX mission must be status-neutral, adding that as long as it is so, EULEX will have the support of the Serbian community in the province and of Belgrade.
Agreement has been reached to arrange a meeting between representatives from Serbian communities and EULEX in order to find the best solution in mutual interest regarding the rotation of chiefs of police stations, he stated.
The Minister noted that they also discussed fight against organised crime and that they agreed that there has to be joint action.
Bogdanovic said that he also told Marnhac that EULEX has full support of the Serbian government and his ministry in the fight against all forms of crime in the north of the province, as well as the rest of its territory.
