By sector, the processing industry’s output jumped 21.6 percent against the 2003 average, electricity, natural gas, and water output increased 15.4 percent, and ore and stone rose 3.7 percent.
The production of durable goods in November 2004 jumped 39.4 percent against the 2003 average, intermediate goods rose 25.1 percent, consumer goods 23.9 percent, energy 13.5 percent, and capital goods by 1 percent.
In November 2004, 20 sectors, which together account for 88 percent of total industrial output in Serbia, recorded an increase against the 2003 average, while the remaining nine sectors saw a decline in output.
The November jump in industrial production against previous months was seasonal and largely due to stronger showing in the electricity, natural gas, and water industries, according to the Statistical Office.
