Stefanovic stressed that the issues of the freedom of movement and cadastre are extremely important for the everyday life of people in the province, noting that a solution to this problem means that the ownership over land and property in the province will be legally established.
The Serbian government offered all solutions without limitations, but Pristina wants to relate every item to the status issue, he explained, adding that international representatives took Serbian proposals very favourably.
During the dialogue, the two sides should only stick to the topics that have been launched and not open new ones until we have resolved the ones at hand, he observed.
I am certain that we will reach agreements soon, Stefanovic stressed.
The problem of missing persons and cultural heritage has only been mentioned, he said, adding that missing persons are a burning issue because there are 1,800 persons whose fate is unknown, which makes this issue a very painful one.
As for the religious and cultural heritage, we must find a way to permanently regulate the status of property belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo-Metohija, he noted.
In two-day talks in Brussels, EU Counsellor for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Robert Cooper also participated.
