Bogdanovic said on this occasion that the Serbian side believes that it is imperative that the activities of the OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities be in accordance with Resolution 1244 and the province’s status-neutral framework.
The Minister pointed to difficulties with which all non-Albanian communities in Kosovo-Metohija are faced.
He highlighted that the preservation of identity of the ethnically discriminated communities in Kosovo-Metohija is affected through continuous restriction of the freedom of movement, denial of access to public institutions, free use of language, restitution of usurped property and the process of return.
Bogdanovic said that he appreciates Vollebekk’s activities in the field of protection of human rights and building trust among different ethnic communities in Kosovo-Metohija.
Vollebekk expressed interest in the issue of protection of monuments of culture and cultural heritage, education, demographical situation and recognition of diplomas issued by the University of Pristina.
He said that he will continue to work on the issues of importance for exercising basic human rights of all communities in Kosovo, reads a statement by the Ministry for Kosovo- Metohija.
