Upon visit to municipality Zubin Potok, Bogdanovic pointed out that the construction of this regional water supply system will solve a long-term problem of water supply of these three municipalities in northern Kosovo.
The funds that are invested in the province are spent for specific purposes, which is the Serbian government’s objective, the Minister said and added that during this year the planned investment of RSD 450 million should be used for infrastructure, construction of houses and shelter for returnees and the underprivileged and for water supply.
Bogdanovic said that Belgrade will request opinion from relevant international judicial instances regarding the announced privatisation of Trepca Mines complex.
He noted that such privatisation would be illegal and that it goes against UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Trepca Mines employ over 4,000 people and almost 20,000 people live off this complex, Bogdanovic said and underlined that privatisation would extinguish these jobs and the workers would become welfare cases.
The Minister spoke today with representatives of municipalities from northern Kosovo and the president of Kosovska Mitrovica district.
Bogdanovic visited street construction and reconstruction sites in Zubin Potok, works on the community health centre and parish house near the Holy Trinity Church, sports centre Mokra Gora and kindergarten “Nase dete”.
