Ciric told the press that measures on reprogramming companies’ debts are being discussed in the government and with the National Bank of Serbia, adding that they will enable a 12-moth grace period and thus greatly alleviate the economy.
These measures will also enable companies to reprogramme their payables, he said, stressing that they must service their debts for VAT.
The Minister voiced his expectation that the measures, which
the government yesterday adopted regarding facilitated repayment of citizens’ long-term loans, will help to improve the living standard.
In the period ahead, measures pertaining to employment will also be adopted, especially the ones concerning people who work illegally, without an employment contract and the right to pension, social or health insurance.
Ciric noted that new jobs must be created in the days ahead, and effort must be made to increase salaries within realistic limits, that is, that their growth should remain above inflation growth, Ciric concluded.
