In his address to the Committee for Kosovo-Metohija of the Serbian parliament, Stefanovic underlined that the Serbian side has not put forward any proposal that would jeopardise our country's stance on Kosovo-Metohija and reiterated that Serbia does not in any way recognise Kosovo's independence in this process, nor will it do so.
The negotiations are very complicated and difficult, and our tactic is to apply modern foreign policy developments, he explained, adding that for Serbia the status of Kosovo-Metohija is already solved because Kosovo-Metohija is an integral part of Serbia.
Stefanovic said that the Serbian negotiating team abides by the Serbian Constitution and resolutions that were passed in the parliament, adding that it will perhaps submit a report to the parliament when some of the issues that have been opened in the talks are solved.
He reiterated that he is satisfied with the direction, pace and results of the negotiations which, however, are not many.
He specified that so far the issues regarding the life of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija have been opened, and at the end the difficult issues that deal with relations between Serbia and Kosovo will be discussed.
