Bogdanovic told the Tanjug news agency that Serbia is not against the census, but it believes that it is unacceptable for it to be done by provisional institutions in Kosovo-Metohija, and noted that the UN should conduct the census in all Serbian communities.
Here we have two principles. The international community has accepted that the UN conducts the census in the north of Kosovo, whereas south of the Ibar River it wants it to be conducted by Kosovo institutions of self-government. We cannot accept this because we have a bad experience and because citizens of Serbian nationality do not trust them, the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija said.
The latest elections in Kosovo-Metohija showed that there were many manipulations and frauds, and the census is even more serious problem, Bogdanovic pointed out, noting that the situation is very sensitive and that is not the first time that the Albanians are trying to manipulate with the number of Serbs living in Kosovo-Metohija.
