Stefanovic stressed that the talks were held in constructive and working atmosphere and that it became obvious that there is capacity and readiness to solve disputable issues. He also underlined that the mediation of the EU in the dialogue is of huge importance and is status-neutral.
He specified that progress has been made in the domain of cadastre and registry books issues, telecommunications and air traffic, adding, however, that it was somewhat less apparent in areas which concern sovereignty, such as the design of the customs seal.
We determined certain modalities. We came up with concrete proposals for each topic and all of our proposals were backed by sound argumentation, Stefanovic observed.
They agreed over the need to obtain accurate data concerning legal and property security regarding the cadastre, as well as over the necessity to establish normal communication by regulating air traffic. Presidency over the CEFTA agreement was another issue they discussed.
Stefanovic noted that the talks were not an opportunity for the two sides with completely opposing views of the status issue to get any closer.
The dialogue is not asking anyone to stand down regarding the status issue, but we only seek to solve certain concrete problems, Stefanovic concluded.
