Bogdanovic said that RSD 35 million was granted to entrepreneurs from Kosovo-Metohija who are starting their businesses for the first time.
Around RSD 16 million has been approved for production activities and over RSD 17 million for services, Bogdanovic specified, adding that one of his Ministry’s priorities is the improvement of citizens’ economic and social position.
In order to have true sustainable survival and return, we must create new jobs, the Minister noted.
Bogdanovic also stated that over the past two years, 312 jobs were created in this manner. Today there are 60 more and within two weeks another 35 loans for SMEs will be distributed, which will result in jobs for another 70 people.
During the distribution of incentives, care was taken to set aside more funds for those living south from the Ibar River, he explained, adding that the relevant Ministry will supervise the funds are used.
Bogdanovic also said that Kosovo being a special customs zone does not mean that customs and tax can be collected in the north of the province, noting that as far as Belgrade is concerned, Kosovo-Metohija is a special customs zone, as defined by UN Security Council Resolution 1244, but this does not mean that the will of Kosovo institutions should be imposed on citizens in the north of the province.
