Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) Director Jasna Matic said today that the exporter of the year award is very important for the re-entry of Serbia’s companies to the world market, given that it has lost the foreign market in the past years due to the economic embargo.
The winner of the SIEPA Exporter of the Year 2004 is Tigar MH from Pirot, which has exported its products to 30 countries and posted revenues of $80 million.
The prize for best-exported product went to Fresh&Co for their Next raspberry juice. This year Next also received an award from the world forum of juice producers for the best new product of the year.
In the category of small and medium-sized enterprises the award went to Enterijer Jankovic company, whose exporting markets range from France to Kazakhstan.
Gornji Milanovac-based Metalac won the prize for winning new markets, with their products appearing this year in the markets of South Korea, Egypt, Ukraine, Slovakia and Czech Republic.
The awards were handed over at a ceremony at the Belgrade City Hall yesterday. The sponsor of the event was the Japanese economic forum.
