Bogdanovic, appearing on Radio Television Serbia, said that the Serbian delegation will do all it can to challenge the amendments submitted to the CoE last night in a move to relativise the resolution.
The Minister said that finally what has been a public secret in the last ten years, namely the horrible crimes in Kosovo-Metohija, has now come to light.
He said that the adoption of the resolution is a good message for all who live in Kosovo-Metohija – that all crimes will finally be tried.
This is important for future relations between Serbs and Albanians, he said.
Bogdanovic pointed out that this is an opportunity for the international community to understand the seriousness of the situation and treats both sides the same.
He noted that the future dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina could lead to reconciliation.
The talks between Belgrade and Pristina depend on when the so-called government of Kosovo will be formed, said the Minister noting that Albanian leaders do not wish the dialogue to start.
Serbia wants the dialogue to start as soon as possible, to urgently resolve the problems of the Serbian community in Kosovo-Metohija, said Bogdanovic, adding that Serbs still do not have freedom of movement, legal protection, the right to return nor some basic human rights such as telecommunications and electricity.
He also noted that Serbia does not insist that the status is the first issue on the agenda of the negotiations, but this issue will be present anyway when discussing any topic.
