Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic opened today a new lane of the section of a highway between Pecenjevac and Grabovica on Corridor 10 near Leskovac. The section is 23.7 kilometres long and cost €70 million to build.
Ilic announced that the second lane will be completed in spring, adding that works will be continued on the highway running though the Grdelica gorge towards Macedonia.
He also announced the building of a new highway between Nis and Dimitrovgrad, which should be supported by the governments of Greece and Turkey.
Illic hopes to bring back further details of the project after his visit to Turkey in early December.
