State Secretary of the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija Oliver Ivanovic said today that good cooperation with EULEX is in the interest of Kosovo Serbs, but that the EU Mission should have status-neutral positions.
After talks with new Head of EULEX Xavier Bout de Marnhac in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, Ivanovic underlined that it is very important that EULEX keeps the status-neutral position in its activity and to have an equal approach towards criminals in the north and criminals in the south.
Multiethnic crime is very widespread and it cannot exist without that multiethnic component, he stressed and added that the fight against crime will be one of the top priorities of the EU mission.
He emphasised that it is important that EULEX focuses on crime and voiced the hope that it will establish good cooperation with political structures and police stations in northern Kosovo.
