The Ministry of Finance announced a tender today to sell a 51% stake in Telekom Srbija, with a deadline for application of 26 November this year.
The advertisement was published in the daily newspaper Politika and London's Financial Times.
A condition for participation in the tender is that the potential buyer is a telecommunications company which has provided telecommunications services for at least five years before the publication of tenders, with at least 20 million fixed and mobile phone subscribers and the internet by the end of 2009.
It is also necessary that the company's value was at least €3 billion on 30 September this year, as well as last year’s revenue being €4 billion and having stable funds of at least €5 billion.
Consortiums led by a company with at least 51% of a share in the consortium that fulfils tender requirements are also eligible.
The interested buyers must pay €10,000 for the purchase of tender documentation which will contain details of the deadline as well as the procedure for submitting purchase bids.
The Ministry of Finance will inform the interested buyers in writing whether they have fulfilled tender requirements after the privatisation advisor Citigroup has analysed the requests. Qualified buyers will be able to get the tender documentation as of 1 November.
