The Serbian government concluded at its session today that state organs should continue with their intensive fight against organised crime, extremist groups and other organisations that try to disrupt public peace and order and harm the safety and property of citizens.
The government concluded that the state organs should press charges in the shortest time possible against all perpetrators and organisers of acts of vandalism. It was agreed that the overall safety situation in the country is stable and that the police maintained public peace professionally and in line with the law during last week's escalation of violence in Belgrade.
The government decided to sell shares that represent 51% of the capital of telecommunications joint stock company Telekom Srbija and to make the sale through public tender. The minimum price for the sale of shares will be determined in due course by the government.
In addition, the government adopted the Report of the privatisation advisor on the assessment of value of 100% of capital of Telekom Srbija for the needs of setting the exact percentage of capital share that will be given to current and former employees.
The market value of the total capital of Telekom Srbija has been estimated at €2.43 billion, and it has been decided that the share of capital that will be transferred to current and former employees of Telekom should not exceed 6.52% of the total estimated value of the company.
It was agreed that the capital that will be transferred to citizens in the form of free shares should be 15% of the shares of Telekom.
The government adopted a decision on setting aside funds for the payment of one-off aid to all pensioners whose monthly pension is below RSD 29,999.99.
A Bill on amendments to the Law on travel documents was adopted, which extends the validity of old passports until 31 December 2011.
A Decree on mandatory production and trade of bread made of T-500 wheat was adopted. It binds all bakeries that make bread with this type of wheat to put on sale at least 40% of their daily production of bread.
