Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic stated today that through the overall reform of regulations two-thirds of recommendations that came from businesses have been acknowledged.
Speaking at a
Conference on Regulatory Reform Dinkic underlined that the best results have been achieved in facilitating company registration and the introduction of the single-counter system.
Within the regulations reform it is necessary to improve the work of inspections, bearing in mind the fact that there is insufficient coordination among them, the Minister explained adding that a regulations reform at a local level must also be implemented.
By the middle of 2011 electronic delivery of tax returns will be enabled, he announced noting that if companies are allowed to pay tax and contributions through one and the same money order, the economy will save €30 million a year.
Dinkic also voiced his dissatisfaction at the fact that some changes in regulations are late, that is, have not yet been enforced, although the government has adopted them, such as the abolishment of the pay toll for lorries.
