At the proposal of the Ministry of International Economic Relations, the government adopted a Decree on liberalisation of wheat, wheat flour and corn exports.
The proposal was drafted at the imitative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on the basis of this year’s wheat, current stocks and sown areas.
The limited exports measure was passed in 2003 during the draught period.
The Ministry of International Economic Relations issued permits for export of over 900 tonnes of wheat (150 tonnes have been exported so far), 450 tonnes of corn and 80 tonnes of wheat flour.
The liberalisation is in line with regulations of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
