EULEX urged to respond to threats to Serbs in northern Kosovo-Metohija

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said today that Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi repeated the threat to Serbs in northern Kosovo-Metohija and called on EULEX to condemn such statements.

Bogdanovic told Tanjug news agency that Rexhepi is making use of some kind of declarations, whose authors do not even know how to repeat their old threat to Serbs in the north of the province and recalled his earlier threat to send special troops to the north of Kosovo-Metohija.
The Minister declared that behind this there is an ambition of the so-called Kosovo government to change the real situation on the ground.
He reiterated that anyone who wants peace and a negotiated solution must be concerned about these statements that incite the use of weapons.
Once again I am inviting EULEX to at least condemn such statements and not to remain silent to the threats coming from Pristina, stated Bogdanovic and added that anyone who attempts to use violence must bear the consequences.
He also called on Serbs in Kosovo not to fall for such provocation and threats coming from Pristina.
Responsibility for the tension, riots and all the bad consequences should be borne by those who resort to unilateral measures and by that I mean Pristina and those who encouraged any provocation and unreasonable actions, concluded the Minister.
