July retail prices same as in June

The Serbian Statistical Office stated today that the prices of goods and services in July 2010 remained on average at the same level as in June 2010.
Consumer prices in July 2010 went up by 5.1% compared to July 2009, and by 4.5% when compared to December 2009.
Observed by classification of main product groups and services, the highest increase in prices in July 2010 was seen in education (1.2%), followed by housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and transport (0.9% each).
The prices dropped in the group of food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.2%) and restaurants and hotels (0.2%).
Prices of other goods and services did not change significantly.
