Addressing the fourth economic conference of South Eastern Europe, Parivodic said Serbia is on its way towards establishing a well-grounded democracy and market economy.
He said that Serbia has achieved monetary stability and that it is quickly harmonising its legislation with EU standards, adding that the privatisation process will also speed up.
Parivodic said that Serbia’s private sector is becoming a more and more reliable partner to German business, especially in the manufacturing, agricultural, services, and financial sectors.
Parivodic told the Tanjug news agency that German businesspeople have shown great interest in improving cooperation with Serbian companies.
The minister said he has met with general managers of the Dresdner Bank and Commerzbank and that he is due to speak with Siemens officials as well.
According to him, everyone he met in Berlin expressed interest in improving Serbia’s status in the global financial market and raising the rating and credibility of the country.
