Serbia, Denmark sign Agreement on Development Cooperation

Minister of Finance Diana Dragutinovic and Danish Ambassador to Serbia Mette Kjuel Nielsen signed an Agreement on Development Cooperation between their two governments today.
As part of the programme envisaged by the Agreement, Denmark will donate €5 million for agricultural development in Southern Serbia, ie for the Jablanica, Nisava, Pcinja and Toplica districts.
The Danish government is under an obligation to secure financial assistance to the Serbian government, as well as material resources and technical assistance in the form of training staff. It will also enable stipends to be available for students wishing to study in Denmark or other countries.
The Agreement is signed for an operational period of the next five years and will be automatically extended for five-year periods. It is a basis for all future agreements concerning development cooperation between Serbia and Denmark.
