Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic stated that the opening of a court in Kosovska Mitrovica, announced for 15 July, must not be allowed, otherwise it would mean that unilateral decisions and solutions will be imposed on Kosovo Serbs.
In an interview for today’s edition of the Vecernje Novosti daily, Bogdanovic said that the Ministry of Justice and EULEX are now holding talks regarding the opening of a court in Kosovska Mitrovica.
We want to know what the jurisdiction of this court will be, who will be appointed as judges, which laws will be referred to in verdicts, because neither EULEX nor interim self-government institutions in the province can impose these, the Minister explained.
Bogdanovic noted that it is high time the international missions in the province paid attention to their mandates and actually performed their obligations.
Too many innocent people have been killed because of the international communities’ stance towards the problems of the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, the Minister observed.
He added that after last week’s bombing attack in Kosovska Mitrovica intensive talks with EULEX and KFOR representatives were held, at which they were asked to find the perpetrators of this incident in which one person was killed and 11 wounded.
