Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic has strongly condemned this morning's attack on a member of the Kosovo assembly Petar Miletic, pointing out that this attack, like the previous one in which one person was killed and eleven were wounded, was caused by extremists whose aim is to intimidate people and prevent activities leading to establishing a dialogue that would ensure lasting peace in the southern Serbian province.
Bogdanovic urged the international mission in Kosovo-Metohija to investigate the attacks in norhern Kosovska Mitrovica and to urgently find the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
International organisations must understand finally that they cannot change the reality in Kosovo-Metohija by imposing one-sided solutions, first and foremost because these solutions go against stability and peace and are aimed at intimidating the Serbian population in the province, Bogdanovic said.
The latest attacks in Kosovska Mitrovica are a warning that unresolved issues must be settled through dialogue because without it together with imposing wrong solutions means opening the door to extremists.
I call on citizens not to fall for provocation and not to respond to violence because violence favours only the Albanian separatists, stressed the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija.
